Monteriggioni has become famous worldwide for its presence in a well-known gaming title where the protagonist fought the infamous Templar knights, and a museum dedicated to them included in the formula of this tour. Once free time is over, it will be time to leave for the Val d’Orcia, a Unesco heritage area characterized by expanses of emerald hills that turn into golden fields during the summer (you will certainly recognize a well-known scene from a famous film based on the life of a Gladiator of Imperial Rome which was in fact filmed on these hills along our route). In this beautiful area of Tuscany we will first visit Montalcino, a village extremely well known by true Tuscans for its wine, the best in all of Tuscany. In Montalcino, if included in the specific rate, it will be possible to have a tasting of local wines and products of the Tuscan medieval tradition. After a rewarding walk through the streets and typical shops we will leave for the last stop of our tour, Pienz; a famous village known for its production of cheeses, we advise you to take advantage of the stop to include Pecorino di Pienza in your shopping. A fabulous view of the panorama of the Val d’Orcia will accompany our return to Florence scheduled for the end of the day.
